Perseverance in the Pines - 10 Years to Recovery is a time for Bastrop County residents to reflect and commemorate the 2011 Complex Fires.

Can you believe it has been almost ten years since the 2011 Bastrop County Complex Fires? Out of the destruction of those days and weeks, community members came together to help one another to begin the healing and rebuilding of our community. Bastrop County Long Term Recovery Team was created from the ashes of the Complex Fires. We have been here consistently for Bastrop County families through two wildfires and five flooding events. On September 4, 2021 we are inviting the community to come together once again and commemorate the day our county was forever changed and how far we have come in our recovery. Perseverance in the Pines – Ten Years of Recovery will be a time of reflection and celebration of how our community has recovered and how resilient we have become.
