It doesn’t take a hurricane to disrupt a life.
For some people, a power outage, lost medication, or flat tire can be a disaster. When resources are already limited, even small disruptions can have big consequences.
This course helps you understand where real needs begin—with everyday vulnerabilities—and how to meet them through simple, powerful steps.
You’ll learn how to use the framework of mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery to guide people through disruptions of any scale—not just the big emergencies.
This isn’t just disaster training.
It’s people training—practical, human-centered, and real.
Emergency Preparedness and Resilience Coach
empowers you to guide your community through life’s disruptions – big or small.
You’ll gain the skills and knowledge to lead with clarity, care for your community when it matters most, & strengthen resilience long before disaster hits.
Disasters and disruptions can strike without warning, but we can all respond confidently with the right tools, knowledge, and mindset.
After 4 weeks, for just three hours each week, you'll be equipped with practical strategies, coaching skills, and psychological tools to help individuals and communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from crisis.
You’ll explore the four stages of emergency management—Mitigation, Preparedness, Response, and Recovery—while also learning resilience science, stress regulation, and community facilitation skills that make you a trusted guide in uncertain times.
At the end of four weeks, you will begin your journey with a resource library, gain access to the EPRC resource website, and have networking opportunities with over 100 coaches who have already completed the course at our quarterly EPRC Alumni meetings!
Invest in yourself. Invest in your community. Because together, we’re not just building resilience—we’re putting humanity back into how we learn, lead, and care for one another.
