Join us in the Gallery for an exclusive absinthe tasting inspired by the artwork!

In celebration of our current gallery exhibition <a href="https://www.palette-gallery.com/exhibitions" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">POLLAN-ators</a>, immerse yourself in a realm of botanicals as you learn more about the intoxicating world of this unique spirit. <a href="https://absinthia.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Absinthia</a> will be sharing the history, myths, and virtues of absinthe as you sip through different styles and presentations. Complementing the artwork on the walls, experience floral installations in response to the show by <a href="http://www.maxgilldesign.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Max Gill Design</a>. Guests will also receive a botanical bouquet and vial of natural fragrance by <a href="https://www.saintflora.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Saint Flora</a>. Featuring melissa (lemon balm), fennel, and davana, this fragrance was designed exclusively for this tasting, meant to elevate your absinthe experience.Finish the evening off by making a dinner reservation at <a href="https://palette-sf.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Palette</a>. Whether in the <a href="https://palette-sf.com/pages/gallery" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Gallery</a>, on the <a href="https://palette-sf.com/pages/terrace" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Terrace</a>, or in the <a href="https://palette-sf.com/pages/dining-room" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Dining Room</a>, enjoy a meal centered upon the dynamic relationship between food and art from <a href="https://palette-sf.com/pages/who-we-are" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Chef Pete Hemsley</a>.

About Absinthia:<a href="https://shopabsinthia.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Absinthia</a> began making absinthe in 1997, ten years before the ban on absinthe was lifted. She is unique in that she not only makes absinthe but embodies it, serves it, and brings energy to the experience of absinthe.Her knowledge of the history of absinthe is extensive, as is her understanding of the palate of today’s connoisseur of cocktail culture. She has carefully crafted her absinthe using certified organic and biodynamic grapes from California, and certified organic herbs – wormwood, anise, fennel, and coriander – from Oregon.Absinthia’s Bottled Spirits is a WBENC Woman Owned Certified Business. Absinthia is a member of the Women's Cocktail Collective.

About the exhibition: Inspired by <a href="https://michaelpollan.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Michael Pollan</a>’s 2001 nonfiction book The Botany of Desire: A Plant’s-Eye View of the World, this group show explores the concept of cultivation and the unique coevolutionary dance between flora and human. From Dionysus to Johnny Appleseed, or even your backyard garden, the human desire to put down roots and shape the earth is strong - physically and metaphorically. Plants possess almost magical powers, ensnaring us by our desires for beauty, sweetness, intoxication, and control. Thus, they ensure their own survival as sources of both practical and aesthetic nourishment. POLLAN-ators is a reminder of the reciprocity of this relationship; by providing a window into the plants’ perspective, the artists demonstrate how intimate and fruitful this relationship could be.Featuring works by: <a href="https://www.palette-gallery.com/bedelgeuse/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Bedelgeuse</a>, <a href="https://www.palette-gallery.com/nora-bruhn" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Nora Bruhn</a>, <a href="https://www.palette-gallery.com/tom-colcord" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Tom Colcord</a>, <a href="https://www.palette-gallery.com/velia-de-iuliis" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Velia de Iuliis</a>, and <a href="https://www.palette-gallery.com/linda-larson" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Linda Larson</a>.

Designed by <a href="https://www.saintflora.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Saint Flora</a> exclusively for this event, guests will receive a unique perfume and botanical bouquet meant to elevate your absinthe experience. Enjoy the aromas of melissa (lemon balm), fennel, and davana while you learn about the various preparations and history of Absinthe.
