No more trying to be mindful alone.The Hive exists to develop creative, compassionate, and mindfully-engaged citizens in the Cincinnati region through small group classes and workshops. We have curated a collective of proven teachers, facilitators, and spiritual directors to help guide your learning in mindfulness, contemplation, art and action. We hope you'll try a class and like it enough to become a regular member. Click here to join today.</a></p><h2>Exploring the Inner Tapestry: Contemplative Weaving</h2><h3>Domains: Creative Expression, Contemplative Practice</h3><p>Weaving is one of mankind's most ancient crafts and has appeared in different myths throughout the world. In this class, we will explore these myths as metaphoric lenses to examine our own personal and collective narratives that hold meaning in our lives.</p><p>Combining the creative process of tapestry weaving with narrative exploration and group dialogue, we can cultivate a deeper understanding of the structures of our lives, our internal and external relationships, and our being in this big world. No experience is necessary, just an open heart and mind.</p><p>Rowe Schnure is a conceptual weaver, educator and community arts organizer living and working in Cincinnati, OH. They received their BFA in Textile Arts from Kent State University in 2016. Since then, they have taught weaving for a variety of groups, from children to seniors, and believe that weaving can be for everyone. Rowe is also the Associate Director of The Well and seeks to hold contemplative spaces for creative exploration.</p><h3>COVID EXPECTATIONS:</h3><h3>Starting Fall 2021, all in-person Hive events will re-open to the public.</h3><h3>Since the "we space" of the Hive is a community effort, it is important to us that we partner to make our space as safe as possible to the most vulnerable among us. </h3><h3>Because of this it is our policy to require masks if you are not yet fully vaccinated. In addition, We ask anyone who is feeling sick or has a temperature to not attend classes until they are recovered. We will closely follow CDC guidelines in regards to hot spots and may require everyone to mask in certain instances of high transmission rates.</h3><h3>The intent is to live out a core value of the Hive, which is the co-creation of the common good. We trust that if you are in community with us that you will join this shared intention. We also offer a number of online alternatives if that better meets your needs. </h3>
