Find your people, Find your practice. We are a place where community and contemplation meet. No more trying to be mindful alone.The Hive exists to develop creative, compassionate, and mindfully-engaged citizens in the Cincinnati region through small group classes and workshops. We have curated a collective of proven teachers, facilitators, and spiritual directors to help guide your learning in mindfulness, contemplation, art and action. We hope you'll try a class and like it enough to become a regular member. Your partnership helps make this nonprofit possible.(As a social enterprise, the Hive shares our story with photos of classes and events. If you are opposed to sharing your lovely face let is know and we'll do our best to avoid that. But by using an event ticket you agree to let The Hive share your image in photo, audio, and video.)

What if outside your window just beyond the threshold of your door instead of a concrete sidewalk was a cushion of leaves under your feet? What if under your bare feet you found mud squeezing between your toes, earthworms crawling just beneath the surface, ants riding on a blade of grass?  You could stop on that threshold and kneel just along the edge of the earth and spend a lifetime exploring these many worlds of wonder and surprise.  And what for? Because in these plants and earth-worn spaces are the untamed worlds of aliveness and awakening, healing and hope.</p><p>Gather with others to joyfully celebrate the beauty of our earth using mindful practices to create individual earth altars. Step outside as we let ourselves be held by the healing wonders of our earth. As we sit, wander, reflect and set intentions for healing and hope we will discover the answers that are ours and the questions that take us deeper into our call to healing and loving kindness. </p><p>Our walks will have a particular focus for contemplation each week.</p><p>Week 1 – Self compassion (loving kindness directed toward self)</p><p>Week 2 – Loving Kindness for a loved one</p><p>Week 3 – Loving Kindness for the stranger</p><p>Week 4 – Loving kindness for all</p><p>In the first week we will inaugurate our walk from the Hive. We will meet after that at nearby locations for the remainder of our meetings. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing appropriate to the weather. We will be walking and sitting on the ground. Feel free to bring a yoga mat or chair to sit on.</p><p>Deanna Martin, MA, LPC, co-creates communities of love, healing, and belonging through the art of ritual, self-compassion, mindfulness, and strengths. Through the science of Positive Psychology, traditional wisdom practices, and engaging the natural world, she offers coaching, workshops, retreats, celebrations, and healing rituals for individuals, groups, and organizations.  She completed the Spiritual Companioning program with the Sycamore Spirituality Center, is a certified Awakening Joy Teacher, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, and Certified Teacher and Trainer of the Enneagram in the Narrative Tradition. https://www.facebook.com/mymindfullife </p><h3>COVID EXPECTATIONS:</h3><h3>Starting Fall 2021, all in-person Hive events will re-open to the public.</h3><h3>Since the &quot;we space&quot; of the Hive is a community effort, it is important to us that we partner to make our space as safe as possible to the most vulnerable among us. </h3><h3>Because of this it is our policy to require masks if you are not yet fully vaccinated. In addition, We ask anyone who is feeling sick or has a temperature to not attend classes until they are recovered. We will closely follow CDC guidelines in regards to hot spots and may require everyone to mask in certain instances of high transmission rates.</h3><h3>The intent is to live out a core value of the Hive, which is the co-creation of the common good. We trust that if you are in community with us that you will join this shared intention. We also offer a number of online alternatives if that better meets your needs. </h3>
