Find your people, Find your practice. We are a place where community and contemplation meet. No more trying to be mindful alone.The Hive exists to develop creative, compassionate, and mindfully-engaged citizens in the Cincinnati region through small group classes and workshops. We have curated a collective of proven teachers, facilitators, and spiritual directors to help guide your learning in mindfulness, contemplation, art and action. We hope you'll try a class and like it enough to become a regular member. Your partnership helps make this nonprofit possible.(As a social enterprise, the Hive shares our story with photos of classes and events. If you are opposed to sharing your lovely face let is know and we'll do our best to avoid that. But by using an event ticket you agree to let The Hive share your image in photo, audio, and video.)

Click here to join today.</a></p><h2>Creating from the Heart: Freeing the Creative Spirit (In Person)</h2><h3>Domain: Creative Expression</h3><p>Utilizing projects and exercises devised by celebrated teacher and artist Corita Kent, we will challenge our preconceptions and fears regarding our own artistic capabilities. Through a variety of artistic mediums, we will explore our natural abilities to create. Explore experiences that can harmonize our inner and outer worlds, as well as uplift and energize ourselves and others.</p><p>Barb Smucker has a BA in Art and Psychology from Baldwin Wallace College and an MA in Student Personnel and Counseling from Bowling Green State University. She is currently a studio artist at the Pendleton Art Center and has taught countless art classes and workshops throughout the region. Barb strives to create a safe and fun atmosphere in the classroom and encourages students to tap into their personal creativity.</p><h3>COVID EXPECTATIONS:</h3><h3>Starting Fall 2021, all in-person Hive events will re-open to the public.</h3><h3>Since the &quot;we space&quot; of the Hive is a community effort, it is important to us that we partner to make our space as safe as possible to the most vulnerable among us. </h3><h3>Because of this it is our policy to require masks if you are not yet fully vaccinated. In addition, We ask anyone who is feeling sick or has a high temperature to not attend classes until they are recovered. We will closely follow CDC guidelines in regards to hot spots and may require everyone to mask in certain instances of high transmission rates.</h3><h3>The intent is to live out a core value of the Hive, which is the co-creation of the common good. We trust that if you are in community with us that you will join this shared intention. We also offer a number of online alternatives if that better meets your needs.</h3>
