Click here to join today.</a></p><h2>Song of Songs- Part 1 (Online)</h2><h3>Domains: Contemplative Practice, Creative Expression</h3><p>Join us as we begin to experience this ancient song of love. In modern Judaism the Song of Songs, also known as the Song of Solomon and the Canticle of Canticles, is traditionally read on the Sabbath during the Passover, which marks the beginning of the grain-harvest as well as commemorating the Exodus from Egypt. Jewish tradition reads it as an allegory of the relationship between God and Israel. In Christian tradition this text is viewed as an allegory of Christ and his bride, the Church.</p><p>In this session we will be learning about the cast of characters including:  the night watchmen; the daughters of Jerusalem; and, most importantly, the lover and the Beloved. We will work with the words and how they impact us. They meet us where we are and for each of us that can be a different place. This journey through the Song will lead us into a deeper awareness of who we are and how we can be--- lovers.</p><p>A longtime Hive facilitator, Gerry works as an attorney and is a published poet. His sixth book of poems &quot;Chrysanthemum Moon&quot; was recently published by Dos Madres Press.</p><h3>Your Zoom link will be sent with your registration confirmation.
