Find your people, Find your practice. We are a place where community and contemplation meet. No more trying to be mindful alone.The Hive exists to develop creative, compassionate, and mindfully-engaged citizens in the Cincinnati region through small group classes and workshops. We have curated a collective of proven teachers, facilitators, and spiritual directors to help guide your learning in mindfulness, contemplation, art and action. We hope you'll try a class and like it enough to become a regular member. Your partnership helps make this nonprofit possible.(As a social enterprise, the Hive shares our story with photos of classes and events. (In Person)</h2><h3>Domain: Contemplative Practice</h3><p>Our minds are filled with busy, unexamined habits. Maybe you’ve noticed that these habits, left unchecked, can lead to cut off relationships, addictive habits, feeling overwhelmed or a general loss of inspiration. Contemplative mindful practices, just 20 minutes a day, can help expose these habits and offer awareness to rewire our thinking. But where does one get started in a way that can last? Neuroscience now confirms that 8 weeks of such a practice changes the gray matter in your frontal cortex, the part of the brain that regulates knee-jerk reactions and anger, as well as opens neural pathways across hemispheres of the brain accessing imagination and authentic compassion.</p><p>Learn these practices in a small group that will offer weekly discussion, a safe place of discovery, and facilitation that helps “demystify” the work while integrating it with your everyday challenges around work, family, and community. Participants should expect to spend 20 minutes a day working on the practices explored in class. This class is limited to 10 people.</p><p>We can’t think our way into a new way of living; we must live our way into a new way of thinking.</p><p>Troy Bronsink is Founder/Director of the Hive. He is a spiritual director, published author, facilitator and minister from the Protestant, Presbyterian Christian lineage. In both secular and faith-based settings, Troy’s work has been to build spiritual depth within creatives, activists, and entrepreneurs. Troy has presented at Creative Mornings, 99U, and TEDx’s Innovation Alley and is a student of the Living School at Albuquerque&#x27;s Center for Action and Contemplation. He lives with his wife and two kids in Northside.</p><h3>COVID EXPECTATIONS:</h3><h3>Starting Fall 2021, all in-person Hive events will re-open to the public.</h3><h3>Since the &quot;we space&quot; of the Hive is a community effort, it is important to us that we partner to make our space as safe as possible to the most vulnerable among us. </h3><h3>Because of this it is our policy to require masks if you are not yet fully vaccinated. In addition, We ask anyone who is feeling sick or has a high temperature to not attend classes until they are recovered. We will closely follow CDC guidelines in regards to hot spots and may require everyone to mask in certain instances of high transmission rates.</h3><h3>The intent is to live out a core value of the Hive, which is the co-creation of the common good. We trust that if you are in community with us that you will join this shared intention. We also offer a number of online alternatives if that better meets your needs.</h3>
