An anthropologist of education and former high school teacher, her work explores how schools respond to political and policy pressures while creating spaces where immigrant youth can thrive. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two children. <h3>About Sara Said</h3>Sara Said was born in Yemen and immigrated to New York City in the late 1990s, where she completed middle and high school. She holds degrees in Social Studies Education, History, TESOL, and most recently completed her final degree in School Administration. Sara has taught for over a decade within the Internationals Network, advocating for immigrant families and English language learners while also leading professional development and speaking at national conferences. She currently works at a new school, continuing her commitment to culturally responsive education. Sara lives in New York City with her husband and two children.
