<p>Many musicians play without knowing anything about how their instrument works. Would you know what to do if a note stopped working just before your exam? As with your car, the more you know about it the better you can look after it. Professional repairer Alan Burnfield shows players the basics on how to choose the best instrument for your needs, keep it in good condition, and know when to seek expert help. The presentation will be followed by an interactive workshop practising simple maintenance techniques you can do at home. The workshop will focus on flute, clarinet and saxophone but will be beneficial for any woodwind player. Observers are welcome but bookings are essential for this invaluable upskilling opportunity.</p>
