<h3>Saturday, September 18th, 2021 9:00 am-11:00 am JOHNSON&#x27;S BEACH, GUERNEVILLE. Hulbert Creek volunteers will meet at Johnson&#x27;s beach for check-in and be lead by Jim.</h3><h3>Join Russian Riverkeeper in cleaning up the Russian River Watershed this September 18th!</h3>This year, cleanups will take place throughout the Russian River Watershed on September 18th. This signup is for Johnson&#x27;s Beach in Guerneville. It’s easy to participate and we provide all the gloves, trash grabbers, and bags. Volunteers will receive a special gift! Meet Carol Shumate, your beach captain for check-in at the west end of the parking lot. Hulbert creek volunteers will also meet here.From each registration location, volunteers will be able to choose various beach walking routes based on where the trash is. Supplies will be provided if needed at registration, but you are encouraged to bring a face mask, gloves, water, and other supplies if you have them.The 2021 Russian River Watershed Cleanup will continue to remove litter from beachgoers before the winter rains wash them to the ocean. We can’t save the ocean unless we stop sending our trash downstream. You can help us break that cycle! Together we can stop adding to the great Pacific Garbage Patch in the middle of the ocean (it&#x27;s as big as Texas!).We look forward to working together this September for a cleaner Russian River and Pacific Ocean.PLEASE NOTE: A copy of your liability waiver MUST be on file prior to beginning your cleanup and is available here.
