What traditions will be represented at the Feast of Faiths?

Accepted Answer

All are welcome regardless of faith or no faith. The Ventura County Interfaith Community is composed of a wide variety of traditions from Bahá'ís to Catholics, Jews to Muslims, and of course, a wide variety of Christians to name just a few.

Why does the Ventura County Interfaith Community host an annual Feast of Faiths?

The Ventura County Interfaith Community hosts an annual feast of faiths to bring people from a variety of faith traditions together for a common meal. We hope that by doing so, we will build bridges of understanding between individuals and congregations of diverse beliefs in Ventura County.

What type of food will be served at the Feast of Faiths?

Namaste Spiceland from Thousand Oaks will serve delicious South Asian food at the Feast of Faiths.

What is the agenda for the Feast of Faiths?

Accepted Answer

The Feast of Faiths is deliberately not heavily programmed. You will be seated with other diners of a variety of faiths with whom you will converse. Conversation prompts will be provided at each table in order to facilitate your conversation.

Question 5

How should I dress?

Accepted Answer

The Simi Valley Mandir is a Hindu Temple. In light of that, some suggestions regarding dress are in order. Dress should be modest - Shoulders and knees should be covered. Also, since you will be asked to removed your shoes prior to entry, please wear shoes that are easily removed.
