Restorative Black Dance is designed to relax and renew the body and soul with low impact movement, muscle isolation, music of the African diaspora and sound bowls.We will explore movements rooted in North African and Turkish Dance, better known in this country as Belly Dance. Utilizing isolations from head to toe, this class uses low impacts movement and breathing to bring a greater sense of well-being and joy. This class is for all levels of dancers. Unlike the typical dance class, we will focus on how moves feel in our individual bodies vs. how it appears to the outside viewer. This class is body and size positive.
