Where should I head once I arrive to the Music Concourse?

Meet near the Rideout Fountain, which is the largest of the fountains, in the middle of the concourse.

Where will I sit?

The work is designed to give agency to our audience, & to connect to what is already here. Please enjoy the park as it is, or as you would otherwise: sitting on a bench or the grass; or strolling around in whatever way is accessible or interesting to you. Feel free to bring a chair, if you prefer.

Why do I need to RSVP if the event is  free and open to the public?

It is so helpful for us to know who we will be sharing the work with, so that we can say hello when you are here, & stay connected with you afterwards. We also love to know how many intended audience members we have, versus spontaneous park-goers, stopping in. Thank you for assisting us with this!

Is there a restroom near the performance?

Yes there is a public restroom behind the Bandshell at the Music Concourse.

Question 5

Is there parking nearby?

Accepted Answer

Yes, there is a garage, for a fee, at the Music Concourse, connected to the Academy of Sciences. There is also street parking on surrounding streets, both inside & outside of GG Park, but please plan to arrive early if you drive, as it can take a while to find a spot. We recommend MUNI, if possible.

Does MUNI stop nearby?

YES!  And MUNI is a great way to show up, if it works for you. The 7 bus stops nearby, as does the N-Judah train. And the 44 bus line has a stop directly inside the Music Concourse, called the Concourse Dr/Academy of Sciences stop.

Question 7

What is the run time?

Accepted Answer

The installation will run three times on September 13th. 3:00pm, 4:30pm, and 6:00pm. The approximate run time of each iteration is one hour. It may go over or under a bit, given that the work is largely a structured improvisation.
