Established in 2018 to usher the Las Vegas community into a new era of music and culture, the Making Music Matter Foundation stewards the Desert Winds, Chambers, Honor Winds, and Camp Reimagined. <p>The Desert Winds return to the concert stage with music representing a renewal of the human condition. The opening concert of our  &quot;FOR THE BIRDS&quot; season explores humanity&#x27;s infatuation with lingering despair and how something mythical, magical, and new appears at the end of this journey. Phoenix Rising is our musical answer to the renewal we have all been searching for in these uncertain times. Featuring the music of Alfred Reed, David Maslanka, Joseph Turrin, and newly appointed UNLV professor of composition, Viet Cuong, join us as we invite you to TAKE FLIGHT!</p>
