Join us for our Wikithon on July 31, as we improve and create articles related to female figures.

Wikipedia’s gender disparity is well-documented. A mere 16.7% of Wikimedians, who are volunteers that write and edit, identify as female, and only 19% of featured biographies are of women. HerStorians strives to promote increased female representation on Wikipedia, both as editors and as entries. By addressing the dearth of women on the world’s most prominent online encyclopedia, we aim to present a fuller, richer version of history, one woman at a time.Join us for our Wikithon on July 31, as we improve and create articles related to female figures. Individuals of all gender identities and expressions are welcome to participate.Participants are encouraged to create a Wikipedia account prior to the event. No editing experience is required to join, as we will provide a tutorial at the beginning. People of all gender identities and expressions are welcome to join. Wikipedia editing is for everyone.Zoom details will be sent after registration.
