Join the Dean, faculty, and staff of USC Roski to dye Shibori patches and learn the art of Boro mending.

Wabi-Sabi Workshop SeriesMake Mend is a series of wabi-sabi workshops presented by the USC Roski School of Art and Design that will explore fixing or improving what is damaged, broken, or torn, with respect towards the handmade and creativity as a wellness practice. Participants are invited to bring items that need repair, embellishment, or altering, and all skill levels are welcome.At the “I’m DYE-ING to Make That!” workshop, participants will join USC Roski professor <a href="https://roski.usc.edu/community/faculty/sherin-guirguis" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Sherin Guirguis</a>, Dean of USC Roski <a href="https://roski.usc.edu/community/faculty/haven-lin-kirk" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Haven Lin-Kirk</a>, and members of the Roski staff around the indigo vat and stitch table to dye Shibori patches and learn the art of Boro mending. COVID-19 Health and Safety: <ol><li>Masks are required for all attendees, vaccinated or unvaccinated.</li><li>All persons accessing USC campuses must complete <a href="https://trojancheck.usc.edu/login" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Trojan Check</a>, USC's daily wellness assessment, on the day of their visit. </li><li>In addition to Trojan Check, all persons age 12 and older will be required to show proof of vaccination to enter campus. Either a physical CDC-issued vaccine card or a digital copy will be accepted. As an alternative, guests may show a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the event.
