Leave 2025’s chaos behind (at least for a little while) and make space for joy and laughter at Washington Improv Theater this fall!
WIT is DC’s top spot for hilarious improv comedy. Our shows are surprising, smart, and totally unscripted, and feature the funniest improvisers in the region.
Home to a host of company ensembles, including the long-running musical improv group iMusical, the all-Black ensemble Lena Dunham, the scientifically-minded Hypothesis, and the all-woman ensemble Hellcat, WIT’s improvisers will have you rolling with laughter.
Inspired by a simple suggestion from the audience, each show is an unpredictable delight. In fact, most first-time audience members find it hard to believe that what they’re seeing is entirely made up on-the-spot. (It is!)
That means no two shows are ever the same, so you can seek out an escape week-after-week!
EVERY SHOW FEATURES A DIFFERENT LINE-UP OF ACTS, SO CHECK OUT THE WHOLE SCHEDULE ON WIT'S WEBSITE: https://witdc.org/shows/laugh-riot-comedy-in-the-face-of-everything/
ABOUT WIT
WIT shows are perfect for a date night, out-of-towners visiting, or just something new and spontaneous to do. All for just $20.
For 25 years, Washington Improv Theater's experienced teams of improv comedians have taken a simple suggestion or story from an audience member and turned it into a never-before-seen comedy show. And because every performance is based on an audience suggestion, that night's show will never happen again! Our homegrown talent has gone on to SNL, The Daily Show, HBO's Insecure and The White Lotus, and more!
Accessible pricing
