A weekend of music, art, workshops, camping, and connection at Bohamia, a 268-acre paradise deep in the Talladega National Forest.

Awakenus is a community and not-for-profit camping festival in which everyone co-creates together. Awakenus encourages:

PASSES and ACCOMODATIONS

Awakenus passes include primitive camping at Bohamia, a 268-acre camping and event venue surrounded by the Talladega National Forest in the foothills of the Appalachians. The property features hiking trails, a swimming pond, and an enchanting waterfall. A bathhouse with showers is located near RV sites, cabins and safari tents on the property. These are offered in the Add-Ons section.

Gate hours 2-8pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday. All pass holders must exit no later than 5pm on Sunday, April 19th.

Due to limited parking and focus on sustainability, carpooling is encouraged. A parking pass is required to park in the main lot with primitive camping. A vehicle camping pass may be purchased by those who wish to park beside their campsite and/or in their vehicles. A vehicle camping pass also allows access to a quietish camping area by the pond at Bohamia (~10-15 minute walk from other areas of the festival).


IMPORTANT SAFETY & ADA CONSIDERATIONS

  • Due to mature programming, this event is for adults ages 18+.
  • For the safety of guests, pets are not allowed at the festival unless they are registered service animals. Please contact us at org@awakenusfestival.com if you will be bringing a registered service animal.
  • The festival grounds is not flat, and there can be up to a mile or more of distance between certain locations. If you require special accomodations, we ask that you contact us at org@awakenusfestival.com so we can understand your needs and how we can best support your presence at the event.
  • Respect of people, plants and property is of upmost importance at Awakenus. Event attendees will be required to sign a waiver upon entry to the event. All safety rules must be followed. Violators of event rules and community guidelines will be asked to leave the festival.
  • Please read through the festival rules and FAQ. By purchasing a festival pass, you agree to follow all festival rules.
  • Purchase of a pass implies you and all guests are agreeing to the Bohamia and Awakenus Event Waiver.
