The mission of Main Street Van Wert is to stimulate growth and development in Historic Downtown Van Wert.Our vision is to serve the community by stimulating economic growth while preserving the rich historic buildings and promoting Downtown Van Wert as a great place to shop, visit, work and live.

<p>The Historic Main Street Van Wert and The Van Wert Humane  Society present First Friday Sept 3rd walk your best friend downtown and visit animal-loving shops for specials and treats.  Pre-register of $30 get you a &quot;wag around downtown logo tee and a pet gift bag. Pick up your tee and sign-in starting at 5:30 in the Eugene Bagley alley.  The walk is from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  All proceeds to the Van Wert County Humane Society  ( All dogs must be on a leash be people friendly and social with other animals.  A poop bag will be provided. </p>
