Get out the heat by meeting us at the Thames River to discover ancient history.

<p>When it gets hot, the hot head to the river!  Once a day, the flotsam of British history washes up on the beaches of the Thames.  When the tide is low, London&#x27;s largest archaeological site is revealed.  Archaeologists, from the amateur to the seasoned professional, head to the river, not for the refreshing temperatures but for the discoveries.  Prehistoric structures, Roman-era pottery, Saxon fish traps, Medieval shoes, 18th century warships, Victorian buttons, modern plastic bags all await the intrepid, rubber-booted explorers.  There&#x27;s even a name for them:  &quot;foreshore archaeologists.&quot;   Join us at the river!  </p>
