Youth Firearms Safety Class (ASC members' children and guests)

This class will introduce young people to safe firearms use and handling on the Andover Sportsmens Club ranges. Students will learn how to safely load, unload, and fire a firearm. There will be strong emphasis on safety best practices throughout. The class will begin upstairs in the classroom setting, and will finish in the indoor range where each student will have a hands on opportunity to shoot.

The class is for the children and guests of current Andover Sportsmans Club members only and is limited to 12 students ages 8 through 17. Please provide your membership number when registering at this site.

The adult member MUST attend the ENTIRE class with their youth, and will be required to sign a liability waiver at the beginning of the class.

Note that ONLY youth should be registered for the class; adult members do not require a ticket.

All materials, including firearms (.22 caliber single shot rifle) and ammunition, are supplied but you may bring your own ear and eye protection.

Cancellation/Noshow Policy: This class is very popular, if you sign up and and then decide not to attend, you must go back to the EventBrite site and cancel your registration to free up your slot for someone else at least 7 days prior to the class date. If you do not do so, you will be invoiced for a $25 "No Show" fee. To cancel a registration: 1. Go to the EventBrite site and log in (www.eventbrite.com). 2. click on the "My Tickets" link. 3. Click the "View Order" button for the class you want to cancel. 4. Click the "Cancel Order" button and confirm.
