Adams Morgan Comedy Night (Happy Hour + DC's Funniest Stand-Up Comedians)

Capital Laughs is an independent comedy production organization run by a group of  Washington, DC based stand-up comics. Our mission is to cultivate a thriving, diverse DC arts scene by providing a unique and intimate experience for laughers and an enriching environment for comics.With five weekly shows and more to come (returning to H Street and The Loop), there's plenty of opportunities to get away from your kids, your school work or even just your annoying siginifcant other and join us for laughs when we best fit in.Comics who have performed on our shows have also been seen on and/or released specials on HBO, CBS, NBC, Comedy Central, TBS, the DC Improv, Magooby's Joke House, the Montreal Comedy Festival, Just for Laughs, Edinburgh Fringe, and many other just as cool places. Some have been on or written for The Late Show w/ Stephen Colbert, The Tonight Show w/ Jimmy Fallon, Chappelle's Show and Saturday Night Live; many have albums they're working on. And, a few are also new--you gotta start somewhere.We hope to see you at a show.

Town Tavern DC

As seen in the Washington Post, CityPaper, the DCist (RIP), The Hatchet, on a flyer we gave you and with your own darn eyes, Capital Laughs presents DC's funniest comedians (w/ special drop-ins) working out their material. Drop-ins include touring headliners who have been on The Tonight Show, Conan, The Late Show, The Problem w/ Jon Stewart, and who have specials on Comedy Central, HBO, Netflix, and Dry Bar among others. Some drop-ins have included Dusty Slay, Shane Gillis, Tony Woods, Rhea Butcher, Cameron Esposito, Judah Friedlander - The World Champion, Liz Miele, Kasuan Wilson and DC Benny. (Drop-ins are not advertised.) Extended Happy Hour until 9. $4 domestic bottles; $6 wine and select cocktails. Plus rotating Bucket of Beers and Bottles of Wine specials. Limited tickets available. Unlike many other comedy shows, our comedians are asked to bring fresh material each week. You'll see established, passed comedians building their feature (20-minute) and headling (45-minute) sets.
