Terri Lyne Carrington, säje, and Patrice Rushen in concert followed by a conversation regarding their the artist's experiences in jazz.

In an extraordinary union, legendary drummer <a href="https://www.terrilynecarrington.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Terri Lyne Carrington</a>, vocal supergroup <a href="https://sajevoices.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">säje</a> (rhymes with “beige”), and award-winning pianist and USC Thornton professor <a href="https://patricerushen.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Patrice Rushen</a> will join artistic forces to perform original compositions, contemporary covers, and jazz standards while challenging barriers in the jazz industry and advocating for change in society. Following the concert, they will discuss their experiences and efforts as women and BIPOC artists in jazz with USC professor <a href="https://music.usc.edu/sean-holt/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Sean Holt</a>. COVID-19 Health and Safety: <ol><li>Masks are required for all attendees, vaccinated or unvaccinated.</li><li>All persons accessing USC campuses must complete <a href="https://trojancheck.usc.edu/login" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Trojan Check</a>, USC&#x27;s daily wellness assessment, on the day of their visit. </li><li>In addition to Trojan Check, all persons age 12 and older will be required to show proof of vaccination to enter campus. Either a physical CDC-issued vaccine card or a digital copy will be accepted. As an alternative, guests may show a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the event.
