"Blow Your Own Glass Pumpkin" in WGK Glass Art glassblowing studio just in time before Halloween!Come to WGK Glass Art to "Blow Your Own Glass Pumpkin" with Sasha inside the studio.Soon as you arrive to the studio you will come into the gallery to sign your waivers with Missy or Kim. You will then be escorted to the studio where they will choose their colors Thomas or Rita. Sasha, the instructor, will explain the process and then the magic starts to happen. Using the blow pipe, you will gather the clear glowing glass from the furnace roll it in your chosen color(s) and then with the assistance of Sasha the hot glass will be put into a mold &amp; you will blow as much as you can through the blow pipe. The blowing part may occur and dipping the glass back into the furnace a few times. Once the pumpkin is shaped, Sasha will create the stem since this requires more skill. The pumpkin will then go through the annealing process which takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to complete. The pumpkin is then ready to be taken home.Wear closed toe shoes, remove all jewelry. Some people prefer to wear long sleeves and some prefer to wear short sleeves. Come layered so that you will have a comfortable experience.
