This concert of choral music and speakers focuses on water and the interconnectedness of all things: planet and individual, peace and turmoil, history and now. Mother earth cannot continue to provide for us as long as we seek ownership. Instead, we must listen to the wisdom of those who live in relationship with the earth and all living beings.Featuring:<ul><li>Choral music sung by All Voices Choral Project (AVCP)</li><li>Guardians of the River: &quot;In this film by American Rivers and Swiftwater Films, Indigenous leaders share why removing four dams to restore a healthy Klamath River is critical for clean water, food sovereignty and justice.&quot;</li><li>James Sarmento, Executive Director of Cultural Resources at the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians</li><li>Dr. Melissa Leal, Professor of Ethnic Studies, Tribal Liaison at Sierra College</li><li>Rev. Alicia R. Forde, Director of the International Office of the Unitarian Universalist Association: &quot;to be Black, to be Brown, to be Indigenous is to exist in a state of constant precarity, one’s life &amp; livelihood looted for capitalist gain and imperialist quests that dismiss the sovereignty of this blue-green miraculous marble....&quot;</li><li>Yvette Couvson, Singer and Visual Artist: Special guest soloist for the song by Lee Hoffman, Song for Our Blue Mother.
