About the keynote speakers:We are pleased to introduce the following keynote speakers for this conference:Vernice Cooper is a dynamic motivational speaker, poet, author, and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Her life experience of overcoming family addiction and trauma, paired with her professional experience fuel her passion to guide people, particularly women, out of a “Victimville” mentality. Vernice currently works as a clinician specializing in Addiction Medicine and Recovery Services at Kaiser Permanente. She owns her own consulting business, Joy Road Solutions, and is the author of her debut book, Vacate Victimville. Launched in 2018, this podcast is Kacey’s way of trying to provide a small piece of that, and to share real life stories, offer helpful advice, support, and community. She is the author of two books, Blessed Are the Crazy and Blessed Union. Rev. Dr. Lund is a wife, mother, and a person living in recovery from posttraumatic stress disorder.
