Illinois Governor's Mansion Tour

Governor JB and First Lady MK Pritzker are proud to open the doors of the People’s House to you.

Spanning three levels and nearly two centuries, the Mansion holds stories that range from Civil War-era decisions to modern-day milestones. You’ll move through elegantly appointed rooms where contemporary design meets Illinois history at every turn.

Your tour is led by a trained IDNR interpreter who brings deep knowledge and vivid storytelling to every room. All tours are guide-led.

BOOKING TOURS

Tours for up to 10 guests are booked by clicking the red “check availability” button to the right.

The tour runs on Saturdays at 1:45 pm & 3:00 pm and Sundays at 1:45 pm, approximately one hour each.

Reservations are required for all visitors and are free of charge. All guest names must be provided at the time of booking.

Please arrive 5–10 minutes early. An interpreter will greet you at the Jackson Street gate (north side of the Mansion, between 4th and 5th Streets).

Tours must be booked at least 24 hours in advance.

Please note: Tours may be cancelled at any time, including up to the scheduled start time. No large bags or backpacks permitted. Small bags are allowed and subject to search. Photography and videotaping are not allowed. All visitors 18+ must present a government-issued photo ID or passport matching their ticket. Children must be accompanied by a ticketed adult. All guests pass through magnetometers upon entry.

The Mansion is closed for tours on state holidays and during official functions.

PARKING

Free street parking is available on 4th & 5th streets. Meters are not active. Posted time limits are enforced by the city of Springfield.
