<h3>We are in this together...teens, parents, teachers, and communities. We all want the best for our young African American and Latino males...to thrive, to succeed, and to reach their greatest potential. </h3><h3>During this Third Annual Summit on Improving the Opportunity of African American and Latinx Male Youth, we will present statewide educational and juvenile justice data that can help us  better understand persistent  trends in Texas and nationally of the  &quot;school-to-prison pipeline&quot; which disproportionately affects African American and Latino young males. </h3><h3> Additionally, we are having a special guest speaker, Mr. Jerry Craft. 
</h3><h3>Jerry Craft is the New York Times bestselling and Newbery Medal winning author of the graphic novel, New Kid.  His second graphic novel, Class Act, publishes on October 6, 2020. Craft is also the creator of Mama’s Boyz, an award-winning comic strip which won the African American Literary Award five times. He is a cofounder of the Schomburg Center’s Annual Black Comic Book Festival. He received his BFA from the School of Visual Arts.

The format will be a Zoom webinar, and it will be held from 6-8 pm on the 16th of November.
</h3><h3>The summit will be presented in a Zoom webinar format. You will receive the Zoom link shortly before the event.</h3>
