Melissa Spaulding, CMHC has been a licensed mental health counselor for over the past decade, She is the owner of Guided Wellness counseling services in St. George, UT where she facilitates the healing process for those overcoming anxiety and trauma, guiding them towards purposeful and adventurous lives. She is the creator of "Lean In, Laugh Loud" a workshop experience using improv comedy to deepen communication and relationships and has also presented at The Society Center, High Vibrations Healing and the Southern Utah Yoga Festival and more.

Guided Wellness Counseling is excited to open registration for the Fall 2021 EMDR Consultation Cohort!

Basic training in EMDR therapy is anything but basic. Truly. It's magnificent, deep, informed and endlessly adaptive. So you already sense that grounding securely in AIP model and mastering the 8 Phases is essential in having an effective EMDR therapy practice. Are you ready to gain confidence in your basic training and application? Do you need to dust off old skills after time away or neglect? Are you considering EMDRIA Certification? Then group consultation is absolutely the way to go!The Fall 2021 Cohort is appropriate for licensed clinicians who have completed their basic EMDR training. Your time spent in consultation will provide a review of fundamental skills and application, the art of pivoting and appropriately supplementing the 8 phases, case conceptualization, clinical research and updates and video review of cases. Why would you join the Fall 2021 Consultation Cohort?1. Save time by committing to a consistent meeting, reducing time lost to spotty attendance or availability. The Cohort will meet the first Friday of the month, 9 - 11 AM (MT) between August - December 2021.2. Broaden your skill set rapidly and regularly. Group learning exposes you to a broader range of treatment issues AND solutions in a wider array of settings and clientele. 3. Reduce gaps in your memory or real-time application of new skills. Group accountability supports your application outside of consultation meetings. And regular, consistent meetings allow for follow-up and a natural deepening of information over time. Are you considering EMDRIA Certification? EMDRIA allows for up to 10 hours of group consultation towards Certification. The Fall 2021 Cohort allows you to max these hours!The Fall 2021 Cohort will meet the first Friday of the month for 2 hours to allow for review of basic protocol, review of cases and role playing as appropriate. Additionally, we will work through a minimum of 2 phases of treatment each meeting, progressively teasing apart the finer points of application. You will leave every meeting with actionable items to take into your next therapy session. Meeting time is 9 AM (Mountain time). Meeting dates include:<ul><li>August 6 @ 9 AM (MT)</li><li>September 3 </li><li>October 1</li><li>November 5</li><li>December 3</li></ul>Perks for the Fall 2021 Cohort include a FREE 15 minute consultation prior to the first meeting to identify your goals and hopes for the group, access to worksheets for in-session use, documentation of attendance / consultation hours, and a 25% discount on individual consultation sessions with Melissa Spaulding, CMHC.
