MDH Suicide Prevention Webinar Series: Mental Health and Well-being with Anna Lynn

The Suicide Prevention Unit at the Minnesota Department of Health presents the Suicide Prevention Webinar Series. This is the final of six educational webinars that will serve as a point for further connection and knowledge exchange.Speaker&#x27;s Biography:Anna Lynn is the Minnesota Department of Health, Mental Health Promotion Coordinator. Her focus is on advancing a public health approach to mental well-being and resilience in Minnesota, particularly through policy and community engagement. Minnesota has developed a public health framework for action and Emerging Mental Well-Being narrative to advance public discourse about mental well-being and increase opportunity for investment in promotion and prevention. Anna was a member of the first cohort of 25 ACE Community Resilience Coaches and is committed to supporting community and system responses to trauma. She has a background in mental health, policy, community organizing and data analysis. She served as a research analyst at the Minnesota Department of Human Services for 10 years. Anna received a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from University of Minnesota, Hubert H. Humphrey Institute, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, from Allegheny College.Webinar description: Anna Lynn, Mental Health Promotion Coordinator at the Minnesota Department of Health will be speaking on opportunities for community to promote mental well-being and individual strategies to promote well-being. Tying together all of our topics in our Suicide Prevention Webinar Series, this talk will explore ways we can expand capacity and thinking for mental health promotion on both a community and individual level in the State of Minnesota.
