Bees, butterflies and birds - our hard-working pollinators - are on the decline. Without these vital creatures, our flowers, fruits and vegetable wouldn’t pollinate and grow. YOU CAN HELP! Growing pollinator-friendly gardens provides vital food sources and creates a sustainable environment for these and many other garden-friendly creatures. Join us for an informative, interactive workshop where we will learn everything we need to know to start and maintain a pollinator garden. We will cover:· what wildlife species are in danger and why do we need them· what to plant and when· how to ensure plants are grown in ways that help, and not harm, wildlife· how to have blooms all year long· year-to-year maintenance to keep your garden healthy and growing throughout the years.Presenter bio: Dr. Nicole Tautges, PhD is an agroecologist and native of Wisconsin passionate about helping humans do their part to maintain wildlife biodiversity and especially the native bees, birds, butterflies, and bats of Wisconsin. She has over a decade of experience in seeding and growing native plants and flowers, as well as vegetables and grain crops.
