Founded in 1989, the Tallahassee Scientific Society serves Tallahassee and the North Florida community by presenting a variety of stimulating special events aimed at promoting science and science education. Today, the Society has grown to become the largest communitybased, non-profit organization of its kind in North Florida.

Join us for an exciting adventure exploring the wonders of the Gulf of Mexico!

Florida State University Coastal and Marine Laboratory

Join us for an exciting adventure at the Florida State University Coastal and Marine Laboratory! This opportunity will blow your mind! You, as members of TSS, are invited to a full day of exploration of sea life on the water for a half-day followed by an afternoon in the lab to further investigate the specimens collected on the boat. As many of you know, <a href="https://marinelab.fsu.edu/" title="https://marinelab.fsu.edu/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">FSUCML</a> is a jewel on the nearby coast at St. Teresa Beach. They conduct research to optimize marine management and conservation by studying sea creatures in their habitats. Our group will meet at the Publix in Crawfordville and be transported to the Marine Lab via an FSU van. Additional information will be provided. While this is a “free” event, we encourage you to make a <a href="https://tallysci.org/product/simple-donation/" title="https://tallysci.org/product/simple-donation/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">donation</a> to TSS of $50. Priority in participation of the outing is reserved for members of Tallahassee Scientific Society.
