A native of Scituate, MA, South Shore based singer/songwriter Sam Luke Chase is a multi-instrumentalist and self produced artist who writes heartfelt love songs. Considered to be an Americana artist, Chase draws from country, folk, rock and blues to get his signature sound. Whether solo, or with his band, Sam&#x27;s raspy baritone and acoustic riffs draw in new fans after each and every performance - that and good songwriting.A new baby and a pandemic didn’t slow Chase down from releasing his latest EP in November 2020 called Old Ocean Sound: Vol. 1. The four tracks are some of his strongest to date as he was named a Finalist in the 2021 Kerrville Folk Festival’s New Song competition, considered to be one of the top songwriting competitions in the country and a breeding ground for undiscovered talent.After graduating from Berklee College of Music in 2008, Sam released his debut album Songs For Someone, earning him Top Songwriter honors at the 2010 Connecticut Folk Festival. In 2012, he released the follow up Every Time I&#x27;m Home earning Best Local Album from the Patriot Ledger and praise from WBZ Boston as a singer who &quot;...delivers with a clear, fresh dynamic voice that makes you want to listen more and more.&quot;Sam maintains a heavy playing schedule, frequently playing the northeast coast from Cape Cod to Portland, ME. He has shared the stage with national acts such as Marc Cohn, Howie Day, Jonathan Edwards, Tower of Power, Rusted Root, John Gorka, Lori McKenna, Ellis Paul, and Ryan Montbleau.Sam currently lives in Marshfield with his wife Kelly and daughter Rosie.
