This session will cover the &quot;cliff notes&quot; version overview of Lean Startup methodology and Business Model Canvas tools and will describe defining a minimum viable product, business opportunity validation, and business model refinement through contextual stories. Specific areas of focus include learning business strategy, performance measurement, operational excellence, outsourcing, blended learning, games/sims and mobile learning. As a researcher, analyst and consultant, Dr. Metcalf has been a leader in the learning and development space for more than 15 years, developing over 500 online courses and multimillion dollar projects. Dr. Metcalf formerly was the Chief Learning Technologist at RWD Technologies. He joined RWD with the sale of his NASA Kennedy Space Center laboratory spin-off company, Merrimac. Prior to spin-off, he was the Lead Multimedia Designer at NASA KSC. He is also the GP for Global Blockchain Ventures.Dr. Metcalf holds a B.A. in Art/Computer Graphics from the University of Texas, an M.S. in Computer-based Learning and his Ph.D. in Information Systems from Nova Southeastern University.
