Help Artspace111 congratulate artist Emily Ding as she finishes her highly anticipated mural at Artspace111! Join us for a Mural Cool Down with iced beverages and an ice cream truck Tuesday June 15th, 2021 from 5-7 pm! Ding was selected from a large pool of applicants to the Artspace111 Mural Call and was announced as the selected artist in February. After a long battle of rainy Texas days, Fort Worth will finally be added to an impressive list of cities where Ding has public works which include: Austin, TX; Houston, TX; Shanghai, China; Harrisburg, PA; Los Angeles, CA; Flint, Michigan; Reno, NV; Miami, FL; Nusa Penida, Bali, Indonesia; Lancaster, CA; Rensselaer, Indiana, and Wabash, Indiana.Emily Ding is &quot;a muralist who draws inspiration from flora, fauna, and human temperament. Her large-scale work is characterized by expressive animals and figures, which come to life through bold color gradients and a fluid, painterly style. Resonating deeply with the phenomena of the natural world, she aims to communicate emotions and experiences, through storytelling with wild creatures and people.&quot; – www.emilyding.art “I am excited to be a part of bringing a large-scale work to the side of Artspace111 - I think it is very special and impressive for the building to have such long history in supporting local art and artists.
