The Boulder Police Department & the ACL present a free Safety First  event for teens with intellectual developmental disabilities. Join us!

The Boulder Police Department in collaboration with the ACL presents a free Safety First course for teens with intellectual/developmental disabilities! This is a 3-part series occurring on 7/8, 7/15, and 7/22. Registering for the first date means you have registered for all three classes. Safety First is an online, free, three-week course taught by Boulder Police Officers. Safety First for Teens will be virtual this summer. It offers some classroom-style learning, virtual group activities, and lots of positive interactions with police officers! Because this year&#x27;s course is taking place online, we are keeping registration small in order to facilitate relationships and learning. Register soon!In order to participate in Virtual Safety First for Teens, all participants must have access to a device capable of video conferencing and internet access. If the participant does not have access, please contact us at train@aclboulder.org to discuss options. Participants will learn:Decision-making skillsStreet smart safetyHome securityFire safetyCalling on police support and 911Registration is required and limited. You must register for the entire course. Course dates are 7/8, 7/15, and 7/22.
