How do I get to The Bay park?

The south entrance off of Blvd of the Arts will be CLOSED for this event. The primary vehicle entrance is off of 10th Street to the west of the Roundabout at 10th Street and N. Tamiami Trail. The primary pedestrian entrance is on Blvd of the Arts (6th Street).

Where do I park?

Accepted Answer

FREE parking is available across the site including: the parking lot in front of the Van Wezel and the parking lot in front of the Municipal Auditorium and Blue Pagoda (655 N. Tamiami Trail). Parking in the nearby Rosemary District, just east of North Tamiami Trail, is also convenient.

Someone in my group has mobility challenges, what do we do?

The Bay is built to full ADA compliance. Handicapped parking is available in front of the Van Wezel and Blue Pagoda (655. N. Tamiami Trail).  A drop-off area for those with mobility challenges will be available on the north side of Blvd of the Arts near the festival area.

Will Food and Beverage be available?

Come hungry and early! An assortment of Sarasota's favorite Food Trucks will be on hand serving delicious food beginning at 1:00 pm -- including Killik's Kitchen, Lobstah Daze, Nako's Takos, Simply Greek, and Rita's Italian Ice. The Nest Café will be serving your favorite drinks.

May I bring my dog?

Depends. All pets must be non-aggressive and on up to a 6-foot leash at all times.

Do I need to bring my own chair for the "Best of The Bay" Music Fest?

Accepted Answer

YES! Seating is NOT provided. Please bring a lawn chair to ensure you have a comfortable seat.

May I bring in my own alcohol?

Accepted Answer

No! No outside alcohol or coolers may be brought on premises. Alcohol may not be removed from the park grounds. Alcohol will be sold before and during the music festival. A Photo ID will be required for purchase.

What else is there to do in addition to listening to the various bands?

There will be a variety of engaging activities and surprising experiences provided by these talented partners: Cirque Vertigo, Longboat Key Turtle Watch, Mark Piantanida, Pixie Painting, Sarasota Contemporary Dance, Sarasota High School Mighty Sailor Drumline, Sarasota Performing Arts Foundation.
