Join the artists and Staff of Post Office Projects for the opening of Flotsam and Jetsam, featuring the work of six textile artists; Carly Tarkari Dodd, Cheryl Hutchens, Deborah Prior, Jacqueline Bradley, Kay Lawrence and Makeda Duong. Sunday 20 June, 20213:00 - 5:00 pmThere will be a cash bar serving drinks. Flotsam and Jetsam brings together six contemporary artists working with textiles, exploring ideas around process, work, stitiching histories, and the capacity for the textiles in our lives to hold and tell our stories. Post Office Projects acknowledges the Kaurna people of the Adelaide Plains as the traditional owners of the land upon which the gallery resides. It is also The Place of the Kardi, the Emu, whose story travels from the coast inland. We pay respect to Elders past and present. We recognise and respect their cultural heritage, beliefs and relationship with the land. We acknowledge that they are of continuing importance to the Kaurna people living today.Post Office Projects is generously supported by the City of Port Adelaide Enfield.
