Soapbox Gallery is dedicated to presenting music, performance and works of art that engage the issues of our time.The room itself is a beautiful, meditative environment that was designed with state-of-the art acoustics to showcase exceptional musicianship from around the world.The gallery was founded on the premise that art and culture are powerful reminders of our shared humanity, which can help to shape identity and promote social evolution.Soapbox was inspired by the idea that a simple, humble box–that one stands on and delivers a speech from–can start a movement and perhaps even help to change the world.It’s our mission to create space for civil conversation between those with differing views. The intent of our programming is to create a dialogue where everyone has a seat at the table.

Living in New York. Touring in Europe, Japan, the Middle East. A plethora of projects and albums lie between their first duo album, &quot;Austrian LiedGood&quot;, and their latest duo release, &quot;Soul Garden&quot;. Originally from Austria they made New York City their home in 1994. Through their label Lofish Music they released over 20 albums between them. Owned a recording studio in mid-town Manhattan (Lofish Productions). Wrote, recorded and taught music. Through the pandemic their musical connection has only deepened. Their freedom of expression when playing together, letting loose and enjoying the ebb and flow of the musical arc within a song, only intensified. In their music, rooted in jazz with musical branches formed from decades of music making, Lohninger &amp; Fischbacher tell the story of two people who went out into the world to find themselves and each other.Source:: http://lohninger.net/duo/
