Inland Bays Birding: Osprey
Take a guided walking tour through the James Farm Ecological Preserve to learn more about one of the Inland Bays' bird of prey - osprey!
Dust off your binoculars and join our resident osprey expert on a guided nature walk through the Preserve to learn more about osprey. There will be plenty of opportunities to spot other birds and learn more about the Preserve!
Participants will spend the majority of the program walking along the Preserve’s trails. We recommend wearing closed-toe shoes for comfort and safety. Please bring water, sunscreen, and insect repellent, as the Preserve can be buggy at times.
The walk will cover approximately 1.5 miles across various terrains, including wooden boardwalks, tree roots, and sandy paths, with frequent stops along the way.
Important Notes:
Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
This program is weather permitting.
Attendance is free, but registration is encouraged.
For the privacy and comfort of our participants, staff, and volunteers, video or audio recording is not permitted during our programs. Guests are welcome to take photographs, but we ask that you do so in a way that respects the privacy of others. Thank you for helping us keep our programs safe and welcoming for everyone.
Support the Delaware Center for the Inland Bays:
As you may know, recent federal changes may impact our funding, which currently accounts for nearly 60% of our budget. While challenges lie ahead, our commitment to preserving and restoring the Inland Bays remains strong. Your support is more important than ever. If you’re able, please consider making a donation to help us continue this vital work. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a difference (click HERE to donate).
