This  8 week workshops shadows the parent interactive book titled Imperfectly Perfect: Three Steps on the Parenthood Journey.

****WORKBOOK MUST BE PURCHASED 14 DAYS PRIOR TO EVENT****Are you a parent, educator working with families, social service provider or mental health professional? If so, join us for our 8 week virtual workshop from July 8-August 26, 2021.The workshop will consist of seven single sessions. Each session is taught through the following: <ul><li>Reading</li><li>Structured group discussions and exercises</li></ul>The workshop is designed to give participants three steps on the journey of parenthood by: <ol><li> Understanding the importance of self-reflection. </li><li> Being appreciative and accepting support. </li><li> Embracing who they are.</li></ol>Session One: Introduction<ul><li>Facilitator and participants will begin to build rapport. </li></ul>Session Two: Self-Reflection<ul><li>Participants will gain an understanding of who they are.</li><li>Participants will identify their value in life. </li></ul>Session Three: Goals<ul><li>Participants will formulate a five-year plan, using SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time) goals. </li></ul>Session Four: Unpacking<ul><li>Participants will identify obstacles that can hinder them from being the parent they desire to be. </li><li>Participants will express how they feel about the identified obstacles. </li></ul>Session Five: Love<ul><li>Participants will be able to identify their love language, after taking the love language quiz by Gary Chapman. </li><li>Participants will be able to explain their love language. </li><li>Participants will understand the correlation of parenting and love language. </li></ul>Session Six: Support<ul><li>Participants will recognize people who makes up their support system. </li><li>Participants will understand the importance of having support on their parenthood journey. </li></ul>Session Seven: Better You<ul><li>Participants will elaborate on who they are becoming while on the journey. </li><li>Participants will learn acceptance of who they have become while on the journey.</li></ul>Session Eight: Certification<ul><li>Participants will complete final questionnaire and receive certification of completion.</li></ul>Evaluation<ul><li>Amid each session, participants will complete a reaction experiment sheet, detailing what they believe to be the most valuable lesson they obtained from the previous session and how the lesson will be applicable to their life as a parent.</li></ul>******************************************************************************************************Speaker: Author of Imperfectly Perfect: Three Steps on the Parenthood Journey, Tiesha N.
