We preserve cultural traditions, showcase interdisciplinary creative works, and support grassroots social justice movements alongside artists, activists, and allies. Rooted in the historic "peña" tradition of South America, we challenge dominant narratives and amplify marginalized voices.

<h3>Conmemoración 11 de Septiembre 1973</h3>Este año conmemoramos 52 años del Golpe de Estado que —apoyado por la CIA y el gobierno de EE.UU.— derrocó al presidente democráticamente electo Salvador Allende el 11 de septiembre de 1973 en Chile.Como cada año en La Peña, tendremos música en vivo, poesía, arte, comida chilena, vino navegado, y el tradicional altar de arena y flores frente a nuestro mural. Acompáñanos a estar juntes en este evento de conmemoración, revitalizando nuestra memoria histórica y continuando la lucha por la justicia y la dignidad de todos, todas y todes. ¡Sé parte de este espacio tan importante de respeto, amor y resistencia!Evento gratuito. ¡Agradecemos donaciones!ENGLISH:This year is the 52nd anniversary of the coup d’etat that —supported by the CIA and the US government— overthrew the democratically elected president Salvador Allende on September 11, 1973 in Chile.Like every year at La Peña, we will have live music, poetry, art, Chilean food, mulled wine, and the traditional altar of sand and flowers in front of our mural. Join us in this event of commemoration that revitalizes our historical memory and continues the struggle for justice and dignity of all.
