The Metro Phoenix EcoFlora project is making plant science meaningful and open for everyone, while we learn about the biodiversity of our urban desert home. We need your help! A rare plant in a park? A sleeping bobcat in the backyard? What else could be out there? Let’s find out! Using iNaturalist, a free app that can identify plants and animals, you can help document urban biodiversity. Join the Metro Phoenix EcoFlora for an evening of moth lighting.

Join fellow Neighborhood Naturalists for an evening of getting up close and personal with nocturnal pollinators! Moth lighting is a great way to attract moths and other insects so we can observe and study them.Parking: There is ample parking in the park lot. This will be your very first right as you turn onto E Marigold Lane.Where to meet: We will meet near the parking lot. Look for someone in an orange Metro Phoenix EcoFlora shirt with a lantern!What to bring: Water, flashlight or headlamp, appropriate clothing and footwear.This event is limited to 10 people. We will follow CDC recommended guidelines for mask wearing and social distancing.
