PROXY Spring Series: Select Shorts

PROXY is a temporary two-block project located in San Francisco which seeks to mobilize a flexible environment of food, art, culture, and retail within renovated shipping containers. PROXY is both a response and solution to the ever changing urban lifecycle, existing as a temporary placeholder and an instigator of evolving cultural curiosities in art, food, retail and events. Our design embraces the vast diversity of a city and encourages the rotation of new ideas and businesses as well as innovative public art installations which come and go like new visitors at the site.

This will be the final volume of our 2021 SPRING SERIES, which has posted online every Friday since April 30th. You can check out all the previous offerings on our website at proxysf.netWe’ve curated an excellent selection of six short films that span the hilarious to the heart-wrenching. The Select Shorts program features some of the most innovative short feature directors working today in both narrative and documentary forms.Screening will begin at 8:50 and wrap up by 10:00, with “doors” opening at 7:30PM. You must pre-register through Eventbrite before the screening, and seats will be assigned once you arrive at PROXY on a first come, first served basis – so get there early to save your seat! Be sure to bring out a blanket or a camping chair to make yourself comfortable.All parties will be separated by six feet, and you must remain in your assigned section. Per the current city <a href="https://www.sfdph.org/dph/alerts/files/C19-07-Shelter-in-Place-Health-Order.pdf#page=86" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Health Directive </a>relating to outdoor events, patrons will not be required to wear masks once they are seated and distanced from those not within their group. All staff and PROXY personnel will be wearing masks when interacting with the public .
