Vegetation Removal - Meet at 14th St Bridge

The Friends of the Mount Vernon Trail works to maintain and improve the Mount Vernon Trail and promote its safe use.

Friends of the Mount Vernon Trail

Volunteers will remove overgrown vegetation from the 14th St Bridge ramp that blocks sight lines.

Columbia Island Marina

Meet on the trail at the 14th St. Bridge ramp. Volunteers will remove vegetation near the trail that is blocking the sight line for people entering and exiting the bridge. We will also trim branches hanging over the trail. Work will consist of:<ul><li>Using pruners to remove vines and brush</li><li>Carrying and stacking cut vegetation</li><li>Picking up and bagging trash</li></ul>No special skills are needed. We&#x27;ll teach you how to help in just a few minutes.What to Bring:<ol><li>Work Gloves if you have them (We will have several to borrow)</li><li>Pruners or limb loppers if you have them (We will have several to borrow)</li><li>Sunscreen</li><li>Water to drink</li><li>A face covering</li></ol>Getting there: We will meet on the trail at the ramp to the 14th St Bridge.
