Studio 2500 is celebrating 156 years of Juneteenth through visual and performing arts.

Celebrate Juneteenth with Studio 2500! This year marks the 156th year of Juneteenth, and through this year&#x27;s theme,Kindred Spirit, we will explore the connection of the experiences of the native African and the Diaspora .During the month of June and into July, we are hosting events that will feature visual and performing arts to honor the spirit of freedom and kinship. Events include: Kindred Spirit Exhibit Opening Reception - June 13, 2021, featuring the fine art of visual artists from Alabama and international artists from Ghana and Nigeria. Hors d&#x27;oeuvres, live music and open mic session included. $10 admission.Juneteenth in the Garden - June 19, 2021, an outdoor celebration in Studio 2500&#x27;s art garden. This event will feature art, shopping, poetry, dance, open mic, remarks from special community leaders, and much more! Bring lawn chairs and umbrellas! $20 admission. Kindred Spirit Exhibit Closing Reception - July 11, 2021, featuring a special ceremony that will close out the month long celebration. $10 admission.*NOTE - kids 13 and under free entry for each eventMUST PURCHASE TICKET BEFORE EVENTS AND BRING PRINTOUT FOR ENTRYFace masks and social distancing required to attend
