Land Economics Dialogues (LED)Water Challenges, Economics, and Nature-Based SolutionsHosted by the LAI FL Suncoast ChapterRegistration is open exclusively to LAI members.Early bird registration extended to October 20, 2025.As a precursor to the February 25 – 27, 2026 <a href="https://bit.ly/4l6RGex" title="https://bit.ly/4l6RGex" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">One-by-Land, Two-by-Sea Tours</a>, the LAI FL Chapter hosts a Land Economics Dialogues (LED) on Wednesday, February 25 9 am – 4 pm. The LED focus is on local Water Challenges, Economics, and Nature-Based Solutions.An LED is an FL Suncoast-event series where prominent LAI members from around the globe provide expertise and advice on land- and water-related issues.The One-by-Land, Two-by-Sea Tours will bring distinguished participants with diverse land economics expertise to Sarasota; thus, it is synergistic to host a LED the day prior to the tours.The agenda consists of four morning speakers followed by a brainstorming session during lunch. The afternoon strategy session will culminate in profound recommendations for local and regional nature-based solutions destined for a formal Water Challenges, Economics, and Nature-Based Solutions LED report.Morning speakers will present on the following topics:· Coastal Water Dynamics· Surface water – Sarasota Bay, Gulf of Mexico, Inland Waters· Extreme Weather· Local &amp; Regional EconomicsLand economics is the common thread between the various topics.
