The Pinellas Tech Network welcomes Abacode's CTO, Jeremy Rasmussen, for a discussion on the changing cybersecurity landscape

During the height of the pandemic, it’s estimated that <a href="https://www.forbes.com/sites/chuckbrooks/2021/04/12/3-key-cybersecurity-trends-to-know-for-2021-and-on-/?sh=d80005049786" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">digital transformation advanced </a>by as much as seven years, opening the door for hybrid and remote working solutions to thrive. But, the increase in <a href="https://www.infosecurity-magazine.com/opinions/businesses-secure-devices-safely/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">remote work</a> also revealed new threats to devices and applications.
The Pinellas Tech Network welcomes <a href="https://abacode.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Abacode’s</a> Chief Technology Officer, Jeremy Rasmussen, for a discussion on the changing cybersecurity landscape.
Jeremy will share his insight on:

•	The surprising ways ransomware launches
•	Identifying Web/SSL VPN vulnerabilities in firewalls
•	Application of AI and ML in cybersecurity
•	Countermeasures used to combat these issues
An adjunct professor at the University of South Florida and the founder of the USF Whitehatters Computer Security Club (WCSC), Jeremy will brings nearly 30 years of experience to the conversation. He’s taught courses in cryptography and network security, ethical hacking, digital forensics and investigations, and mobile and wireless security. Jeremy is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional and Certified Ethical Hacker. In 2017, he was named Tampa Bay Tech’s Leader of the Year.
