Step inside the Riester’s Hilltop House – Stone Quarry Art Park’s mid-century, artist-designed home – for the third evening of STONE + SCRATCH, a monthly series pairing artist talks with seasonal tastings and evolving interior installations.This month features architect and scholar Lori Brown, who will share her project Birthing in Alabama: Designing Spaces for Reproduction and facilitate a conversation around the intersections of space, care, and equity in reproductive health. The event includes a panel discussion and an opportunity to walk through Brown’s outdoor installation on the grounds, where three birthing room footprints are demarcated in mowed grass.A seasonal spread and wine will be prepared by Cazenovia-based chefs From Scratch, using ingredients sourced from nearby farms. Interior arrangements for the evening are curated by Patricia Christakos as part of her fellowship.
